Digital Engineering Solution Architect

As a Digital Engineering Solution Architect (m/f/d), you will design and shape our entire Engineering IT system landscape. You won't just develop innovative solutions; you will also oversee them from their strategic concept all the way through to stable, day-to-day operations. Your architectural vision and feel for technological innovation will make you the central anchor for our engineering team and a major force driving our digital transformation.

Most important skills:

1. background in application IT architecture, and knowledge of professional IT operations (based on ITOM and SQA).
2. proficient in C#, SQL, and JavaScript and familiar with .NET, Visual Studio, Oracle databases, and SAP interfaces.
3. highly customer-focused and solution-driven.
4. strong analytical problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and are a true team player.

Optional skills:

1. hands-on experience in IT solution, operations, and project management.
2. initial experience in technically leading a team (ideally international).
3. Work in a structured and independent manner, take ownership of your tasks, and show great initiative

Main task:

1. Steering of Engineering IT projects - such as implementing ITOM systems for mCAD/eCAD or managing mCAD version updates with custom Rexroth apps - ensuring they meet all project objectives, including development/programming of enhancements for the/and new Apps.

Other tasks:

1. Define standards and roadmaps, build intelligent automation interfaces, and integrate them flawlessly into our global IT strategy.
2. Take ownership of the lifecycle management for strategic Engineering IT solutions, continuously optimizing them to meet customer needs.
3. Shape and coordinate all processes surrounding our Engineering IT solutions, including professional ITOM-based operations, escalation management, and system maintenance.
4. Serve as the primary contact for 2nd and 3rd-level support for specific engineering applications, where you will analyze user issues and resolve operational disruptions efficiently.
5. Lead a software development team at one of our best-cost locations, providing technical guidance and proactively advising stakeholders on optimizing technical and commercial solutions while ensuring software quality (SQA).
