REMOTE Senior Product Engineer - ERP Core Redesign & Product Upgrade (Agentic Engineering)

We are currently looking for experienced product engineers for the next generation of an established ERP product for manufacturing. The existing system has more than 15 million lines of code and 6,000 to 7,000 business processes, which need to be understood and benchmarked against the market before anything is rebuilt.
You use AI to capture how the system is really used and lead the discovery and requirements engineering phase. You evolve the workflows and keep the product upgradable. The code itself is written entirely by AI agents.
Key facts:

• Start: immediately
• Duration: 3 months, extension likely
• Workload: full-time
• Language: English, German is a plus
• Location: 100% remote (EU)

Tasks:

• Capture and analyse business processes with AI
• Competitive analysis: benchmark workflows against the market
• Revise existing workflows and design new ones
• Plan product upgrades without breaking customer customisations
• Own the agent-based implementation and verify it with independent tests

Skills:

• Several years of product development and upgrades of business software (ERP, MES, planning, logistics)
• AI in requirements engineering, not just in coding
• Daily work with AI and coding agents, including verifying their output
• At least one modernisation or replacement taken to go-live
• Business-fluent English; no industry knowledge needed
